16. Crafting - The Forge system as well as an "ATS" system
The Forge: Kissmet provides a system for crafting your own weapons, armor and shields. Boots, bracers, gloves, helms and belts. No jewelry. You can find the Forge in the Celestina Crafting Hall in Colwynn's Town. You buy the "enchantments" from a merchant in this Crafting Hall.
General Crafting Information:
The maximum number of different enchantments on any weapon or armor item is 7 total.
The maximum value is 250,000 gold (To easily figure out what the cost of a weapon with said effects on it create the item in the toolset and use the cost calculator there, that is the cost the forge goes by)
If you have already enchanted an item with for instance 1 AC you readjust it to a higher value by putting it in the forge with a 5 AC it will override the 1 AC property. With this in mind you can update old armor if it had lower values as long as it will not put it over 250,000 gold in value.
Putting an item in the forge with two of enchantment items of the same property such as a +2 Wisdom item and a +3 Wisdom items WILL NOT result in it gaining a +5 Wisdom property, it will take the higher of the two (+3 in this instance) and add it and destroy the other enchantment item.
This is good if you had enchanted something for a lower level character and then want to upgrade it. As long as the item does not go over 250,000 gp.
Forges are interchangeable. You can craft weapons in the armor forge and armor in the weapon forge. They both run the same script should one stop working.
Enchantment items are also interchangeable on weapons. You can add properties such as AC and Damage Immunities to Weapon even though they are in the Custom Armor Creation place. You however cannot add damage properties to armor except gloves since they can be used by monks.
AC Types depending on Armor: Dodge AC - Boots Deflection AC - Hoods/ helmets, cloaks, belts, gloves and gauntlets, weapons. Shield AC - Shields Natural AC - Amulets/ necklaces, rings Armor AC - Armor/ clothing
Note: Dodge, Natural, Shield, Armor, and Deflection AC all stack with each other, but only Dodge will stack with itself. Two items with +5 Deflection AC will not grant you +10 AC, it will only take the higher of the two in every case except Dodge AC. Immunities stack. Resistences do not. If you have 5/- resistence on one item and 10/- resistence on another item (of the same type), it will use the higher one.
Weapon Instructions 1. Select a base weapon from the dwarf (I recommended that you craft the appearance first before proceeding any further.)
2. Now select what enchantment property item(s) you wish to put onto the the base weapon from the lady behind the counter.
3. Place the base weapon and the enchantment property item(s) into the pool located in the one corner and close.
4. All those properties from the enchantment property items placed in the forge will now be on the base weapon.
To check the cost of the weapon simply put the weapon in the forge without enchantment property items and it will display the current cost value of the weapon.
Armor Instructions 1. Select a base armor item from the dwarf (I recommended that you craft the appearance first before proceeding any further.)
2. Now select what enchantment property item(s) you wish to put onto the the base armor item from the halfling behind the counter.
3. Place the base armor item and the enchantment property item(s) into the forge located along the one wall.
4. All those properties from the enchantment property items placed in the forge will now be on the base armor item.
To check the cost of the armor item simply put the armor item in the forge without enchantment property items and it will display the current cost value of the armor item.
New ATS/UOA Crafting Ambrosia Trading System details can be found here And the UOAbigail information can be found here
*NOTE: we are NOT using these systems so don't download them. Just referring to them for information.
Although we aren't using the full system, we are using a bit of modified for Kissmet system. Our own. But similar in that you go out to pick or mine or get certain components from creatures in order to make something in the Crafting Stations. There is no skill book. Its not mandatory to do this and not mandatory to make these items. For example, Special potions can be made here or you can own a home and buy them there. There is the possibility that jewelry will be added to this. Mining for the ores and gems. Working the gems into certain enchants. A special jewelry crafting table to put these together. Special enchants not found in shops.
